How much does it cost to take a course?
Some courses may have associated registration fees, with details listed in each course description. However, the Prevention Training Center (PTC) strives to offer most courses free of charge.

Who should register for our activities?
Our trainings are designed for healthcare providers and community organizations looking to build capacity in sexual health. Courses are also open to professionals in reproductive health, disease intervention, and family planning. Whether you’re new to the field or seeking a refresher, our programs support inclusive, comprehensive care for the communities you serve.
How can I register for a course?
Course registration is available through our online registration system. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to providers and community members in our service region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
How will I know if my registration for a course is accepted?
If accepted, you’ll receive a confirmation email from the National Network of Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC) and a calendar invite from southeastptc@uabmc.edu.
Is Continuing Education available?
Continuing education credit is available for select courses. Please review the course description for eligibility. Instructions for obtaining CE will be provided upon completion of the activity.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your registration through the NNPTC portal. For courses with a registration fee, cancellations must be made at least 36 hours before the start date to receive a full refund.
If the PTC cancels an event, registered participants will be notified by email from the Program Coordinator. Refunds for paid activities will be processed within 7–14 business days.
